2020 Western Region Captive Conference Call for Presentations Deadline is April 1

WRCIC is accepting proposals for presentations for the upcoming 12th Annual Conference through April 1. Specifically, we are seeking topics relating to captive insurance innovations and captive industry hot topics. In addition, we will accept submissions related to engaging and new trends and encourage diverse captive insurance professionals to submit.
The conference will take place at the The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 27 - 29, 2022.
Extremely attractive room rates are available to all attendees and speakers.
Helpful guidance for submissions: WRCIC is looking for creative and stimulating sessions that provide relevant and germane ideas significant to today’s captive insurance industry and those that consider the captive industry's future. The 2022 Planning Committee is particularly interested in presentations that address the following topics:
Accounting and tax considerations for moving into a captive. Especially compared to other program structures such as LD's; retro's; GC; prefund deductibles; etc.
IDR strategies - dealing with audits
Business plans - specific examples or do's or don'ts; Exit strategies for captive owners
Claims processing and best practices
Good Corporate Governance and/or internal/external ethics
ESG Investment content and DEI in real terms for smaller captives
Submissions should include the following:
Concise and descriptive title
Summary of pertinent and unique content (no more than 100 words). Session content to be educational in nature without promotional logos or to promote a specific product that a service provider may have.
List of proposed panelists. Panels should include no more than three speakers, and we encourage submissions to include diverse panels in gender, race, and/or ethnicity, where possible. Preference will be given to panels with at least one captive owner.
